My Sinful Lust

“Wait for me!” I shouted at Jennifer, who ran faster than I ever could. She stopped by a huge rock, with moss growing all over it and tiny mushrooms popped their heads out through the tiny cracks. “I want to go home!” I demanded.

“Not yet! Come on, Kitara. This is my chance for him to like me.”

“This is crazy, Jennifer.” It was crazy and really stupid. It was after midnight, Jennifer and I were searching for a bunch of frat guys in the woods. IN THE WOODS! Where all sorts of creepy things and wild animals lived. The only reason I was even there was because I would never let my best friend go into the woods alone.

There was supposed to be some sort of secret party in which only a few people got invitations and we were invited. It seemed too good to be true at the time and I was right. I felt like a fool. We had been walking for thirty minutes and still no party in sight. I guess the idiot of the year go to us. The guys must be back in their dorm laughing at us. The funny thing is; I doubt they even remembered us, we were nobodies. They had played a joke on us and forgot to even laugh. Pathetic.

“Just give up.” I said, hoping Jennifer would listen to my voice of reason.

“Kitara, relax, okay? They are here.” Jennifer said confidently.

We walked deeper into the dark woods. There was a full moon out but most of its light were blocked by the high trees. There was only enough light to see what was in front of us, and even that was a problem at times, we were hitting our feet against random things and rocks. The ruffling of the trees freaked me out; it felt like there was something out there following us, preying on two vulnerable, white meat. I imagined myself tasting delicious. I had just used a Vanilla lotion, so basically I marinated myself in some sweet sauce for whatever that was about to eat us. Jennifer would be the main meal and I was that sweet tasty dessert that balanced the meal perfectly. Those were not the thoughts I should have been having.

I could not stop thinking about dying in the woods as we went further. When you find yourself in stupid situations like these, you start to think about the people that mean a lot to you and try to shun away the thought of never seeing them again. The thoughts of my mother and father stayed with me. I had loving parents that always tried their best to make me happy and I took advantage of that at times. They always encouraged me to be a free spirit but I doubt they would be happy with what I was doing. I was not a good daughter; I didn’t call as much as I should have. I made excuses so I didn’t have to call the people I love.
